So Who am I?
My friends and family have told me that this is the perfect job for me and my big heart, I love people and connection, and it does feel as if everything that has gone before has led to me being here. It really is a privilege and a joy to share a couple’s special occasion. A dream job!
Most of my career has been spent working with people. As a business trainer, I’ve run workshops and presented to rooms of 100’s of people in all corners of the world. I’ve sat and listened empathically as people poured their hearts out during 1:1 coaching sessions. I have been lucky enough to facilitate and train thousands of professionals to be better communicators and particularly focus presentation skills and storytelling (handy for this role!), so I know how to tell a good story and keep an audience engaged. I have had to think on my feet when logistics have gone awry and I’m on stage with thousands of eyes looking at me (and trust me, in my career, whatever could go wrong has gone wrong!), so I am pretty unflappable when it comes to spontaneous flexing in the moment! I worked as a project manager too so you can be sure everything will be organised on time and as you would like it.
I love making people feel special, celebrating each individual’s unique magic and have a Masters degree in Positive Psychology so I understand how important it is to bring the joy to any occasion.
I live in Kendal at the gateway to the glorious Lake District and rolling Yorkshire Dales, and have an eclectic mix of pastimes from wandering the fells, to making people laugh doing panto (oh no you don’t), to dancing in fields at music festivals to playing the biggest drum in a samba reggae band with a bunch of amazing people, to quiet meditation and reading.
After many years of travelling away from home for my job, I wanted to build something that connected more deeply with where I live and the people around me, and I came across celebrancy!
I’ve loved training with The Academy of Modern Celebrancy and with that foundation I’m able to bring all of me, heart, and soul, to our journey together and will be with you every step of the way, I’ll not only bring some magic and sparkle, but I’ll have your back!
